UACD seeks to transform distressed urban neighborhoods. We invest in catalytic projects that create accessible, career-track jobs and promote access to fresh food, healthcare, and the innovation economy.

Urban Action Community Development (UACD) is a Baltimore-based, national Community Development Entity (CDE).  Since 2003, UACD has successfully deployed over $416 MM in federal New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation into distressed, low-income communities.
